The older I get, the more I understand what people mean when they say that time goes faster with age (or any type of saying about how time “flies”). It doesn’t seem possible that we have taken Rhett’s 9 month photos, seriously where has the time gone??!? Somedays it feels like it has been so long since we brought Rhett home from the hospital, other days it feels like it was just a few weeks ago. Somedays I think that he has hardly changed at all, but looking back at his newborn photos, 4 month photos, and 6 month photos he has changed a lot. Reflecting back on his newborn photo shoot all he wanted to do was eat, sleep and cry. Now we have also added in laughter, smiles, rolling over, crawling, and walking with assistance.
This little boy is already ornery and on the go, but he does have a sweet side as well. I have a feeling that he is going to be curious about the world and ready to explore as much as he can as soon as he can.
One of my favorite parts about getting to be his mom is watching him learn new skills and figure things out. One of his newest favorites things is playing with doors by opening and closing them and being chased (the second almost always results in big belly laughs from both Rhett and his parents).
All in all, I love watching him grow and learn new skills. Children have a special way of helping you see the world from a different point of view.
