She walked down the quiet streets of Greensburg in her fur coat and emerald green dress. As she walked past the movie theatre her dress caught the evening sunlight and glittered ever so slightly. As she walked past you could feel her joy and excitement it was contagious. Her radiant emotions filled the air and made the crisp autumn air feel a little bit warmer.
Lucy always picks the days with the absolute best weather for her portrait sessions, I believe that part of the reason why the weather is so gorgeous for her sessions is because of her shining personality and joyful attitude. Lucy always makes me laugh until I feel like I’m going to cry (I’m not kidding). I feel like I have known her forever, but it has only been a few months this girl definitely sparkles up the world.
This time around she chose to showcase cheerleading and her favorite prom dress. Our first stop was the Kiowa County High School football field, and it did not disappoint (see the evidence below). To me there is something about cheerleading and football fields that screams fall vibes. When it’s fall that means lots of blankets, sweater weather, and beautiful leaves. I am definitely not opposed to any of that!
After the football field, the emerald dress and coat made their appearance. My first location idea for Lucy and her second outfit was the Twilight Theatre. With all of the elements combined it resulted in elegant timeless portraits. As the sun was setting we moved on to the lake. If you recall, during Lucy’s first senior session she got in both a pond and a river. The water just keeps drawing us in and we can’t manage to stay away from it. It’s almost like the Kansas “beaches” keep calling us back.
