When Heather and Lee had their engagement session, the temperature was in the high teens, I believe it was 16°F. Oh goodness, did we think that day was cold! It was cloudy and we had beautiful snow coverage on the ground. It was cold out, but oh so worth it to capture these two! As a write this, it is currently 1°F but feels like -11°F, surprisingly this is the warmest that it has been for a couple of days. In the past couple of days, I have seen -8°F and a windchill making it feel like -25°F. I will definitely take mid 20°F weather over this any day!!
Heather and Lee were so much fun to photograph. They were up for anything and they even had the opportunity to try a few new things that I had been wanting to try! You can definitely tell that they are so so happy together and have lots of fun! They paired their outfits together perfectly! I always tell couples to coordinate their outfits and not match exactly. Heather’s shirt added an amazing pop of color in the snow. Also, let’s talk about her hat and blanket. Not only are they statement pieces, but they also provide a bit of warmth during the cooler seasons!
Heather and Lee will be eloping in Colorado in October. With mountains in the background and the beauty of Colorado, I know that it will be absolutely beautiful. Let’s hope the weather is much warmer for them then it has been lately!
